Vernon W. Youngberg

Vernon W. Youngberg, 80, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at home. He was born June 14, 1928 in Northfield, Minnesota, to Jeannette (Johnson) & Wesley Youngberg and married Rita F. Hudak in 1971. Mr. Youngberg was a manager at Brush Manufactured Products in Euclid, retiring in 1987 He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva and served in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1965. He loved to play golf with his friends at Pepperidge Tree Golf Course and enjoyed traveling to his home in Texas. Mr. Youngberg was very creative and was a real handyman who liked to work in his yard. He is survived by Wife, Rita F. Youngberg of Geneva; Daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Leffler of Grove, OK; Son, Jerry (Betty) Youngberg of Concord, OH; Grandson, Brian (Sherry) Leffler of OK; Granddaughter, Sheila (Jeff) Taylor of OK; Granddaughter, Shani Hursh of Chardon, OH; Great Grandchildren, Charles, Ashley, Jordan and Laine; Brother, Darrell Youngberg of Hudson, WI and Several Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette in 2007; His Parents and His Sister, Helen. Friends will be received 9:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Assumption Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Rev. Melvin E. Rusnak will be officiating.
