Valerie S. Chambers

Valerie S. Chambers, 46, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 15, 1969 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Robert D. and Nola F. (nee Mullins) Runyon. Valerie graduated from Menchville High School in 1987 and later graduated from the LPN program at the Ashtabula County Vocational School. She was employed with Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva and later retired from Maple Leaf Nursing Home in Statesville, North Carolina. Valerie is survived by her husband, Rickey Chambers; daughter, Brittany (Zachery) Chambers-Taylor; sons, Ryan and Michael Siska, Rickey (Jessica) and Joseph Chambers; grandchildren, Michaela Chambers, Jerimiah Jackson, Natalee and Kyleigh Chambers; sister, Jennifer (Frank) Ward; nephews, Christopher (Rhonda) and Jason Ward; great-niece Kyra Ward; great-nephew Jason "Booger" Swallow; many children whom she fostered over the years; nieces and nephews whom she considered as her own; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Angel Taylor-Chambers and Z. Leeland Taylor. Her grandchildren where her pride and joy and they lovingly called her "Momma". She was a member of the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church, where she loved to volunteer in the kitchen during vacation bible school. Valerie enjoy helping other organizations that needed her help. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, OH 44004, with Pastor Kenneth Roberts, officiating. Contributions may be made to the family.
