It is with heavy hearts that we announce Tracy Hodgkinson, 52, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2025. Her loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Tracy was a devoted and loving wife to Ben Hodgkinson. A loving mother to Jenna Alfieri (Todd Getzy) and AJ Alfieri (Nicole Crosley), and the proudest grandmother to her cherished grandson, Cameron Baker. Tracy was the beloved daughter of Carol and Randolph Tushar. She is also survived by her sister Jodi Tushar, her brother Bryan Tushar (Amanda Tushar), her nephew Christopher Plummer (Cyrena Claudio), her niece Caroline Plummer, her former husband Mark Alfieri, and her mother-in-law Mitzi Hodgkinson. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mitzi Tushar (“Gram-Gram”) and her father-in-law Tim Hodgkinson. Tracy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Tracy was born in Cleveland, OH on March 14th 1973, and graduated in the class of 1991 from Willoughby South High School. She dedicated her career to caring for others as an LPN and MDS Nurse at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her compassion, strength, and unwavering support touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues.

Tracy was the matriarch of her family and the heartbeat of every celebration. She had a gift for turning ordinary days into unforgettable events—complete with themes, games, signature drinks, and music. Her legendary “porch parties” and signature dishes were a reflection of her vibrant spirit and love for bringing people together. She found joy in hosting family and friends, tending to her beautiful yard and plants, camping, and making every holiday magical.
One of Tracy’s most remarkable qualities was her ability to make everyone feel welcome. It didn’t matter if you were family by blood or simply by love—Tracy had a way of including everyone and making them feel like they belonged. Her home was a haven for family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone who needed a place to feel seen and cared for. She touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and loving heart.

Above all, Tracy loved being a grandma. She poured her heart into creating special memories with Cameron—planning adventures, sleepovers, and moments filled with laughter and love. She was strong, courageous, and deeply intuitive—often knowing what someone needed before they did. Tracy never left her feelings unsaid and stayed connected with everyone she loved.

Her warmth, energy, and fierce love will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
