Steve Wannett, 72, of Rome, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center in Geneva, OH. Born January 23, 1936 in Commodore, Pennsylvania, to Maggie (Julock) & Mike Wannett he married Laura Jane Rhodman. He formerly was a Sheet Metal Fabricator for Row Metal & Coe Manufacturing Steve loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended Green Township School in Pennsylvania. He is survived by Wife, Laura Jane Wannett of Rome; Daughter, Sheri (Michael) Leimbach of Madison, OH; 2 Sons Donald Wannett of Mentor, OH and Michael (Kellie) Wannett of Mentor, OH; 5 Grandchildren, Shawn, Donny, Amber, Mikey and Danielle; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Brianna and Ethan; Sister, Patricia Shick of PA and Brother, Nick Wannett of CA. He was preceded in death by his Parents and his brother, Michael Wannett. Friends will be received 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a Memorial Service to follow at 8:00 p.m. Pastor Michael Haury of Crossroads Community Church of Madison will be officiating.
