Resident of Madison, Ohio Passed away at home surrounded by his family Born April 1, 1922 in Bernie, WV to Ella C. (Bias) & Hiram Lovejoy. Married Mary Ellen Rakes November 24, 1941 in Hamlin, WV. Occupation: Retired over 25 years ago from Cleveland Crane as a machinist. Memberships and Affiliations: Roy was a family man, a devoted husband and loving father. He also loved the times he spent in West Virginia; fishing; woodworking; designing, building, and painting projects. He is survived by Wife of 69 years; Mary Ellen (Rakes) Lovejoy of Madison, OH 8 children; Alvina (Howard) Siford, Darell (Susan), Ella (Bill) Burns, Christine (Joseph) Zimmerman, Kennard, Riley, JoAnn (Kenneth) Clapacs, and Marie (Timothy) Stocker; 24 Grandchildren; 31 Great-Grandchildren (with 2 on the way); and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, brother Lester, along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Delfie. Friends may call 11:00am ? 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057 where a service will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm.
