Rose Sistek

Rose Sistek, Age 101, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her son's home. She was born November 4, 1911 in Coraopolis, PA to Mary (Brusta) and James Placek. Rose married James Sistek in Cleveland on November 9, 1931. She is survived by her children, James R. (Connie) Sistek, William C. (Lynn) Sistek and Betty Oakman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1997; parents, brothers Frank and James Placek and sister, Elsie Widziewicz. Heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care given by hospice—we could not have done it alone—special thanks to Michele (& Linda), Lisa R., Sindy, and Susan (who brought the joy of music). Also the family would like to thank Dr. Robert MacDougall. Friends will be received 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tina Green of Fairport Congregational Church will be officiating.
