Rosa Lea (nee Jones) Fitzhugh

Rosa Lea (nee Jones) Fitzhugh, age 93, passed away April 29, 2019 at Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC. She was born June 16, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of Dayton Rex Jones and Uneeta (nee Springer) Jones. Rosa Lee worked at the Geneva Rubber Co since 1971 first in the finishing department then in the pressroom and retired from there in 1990. Rosa was well known for her huge delicious tomatoes from her garden that she tended every year. Rosa loved to drive her car and visit her many friends and family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She was also a voracious reader of mystery books. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Linda Darlene Hines; grandson, Joseph Henry Hines; grandson Robert Lee Wagner and his father Carl F. Wagner; great-great grandson Jacob Joseph Bolas-Hilston; her husband, Frank Harrison Fitzhugh and stepson, Frank Harrison Fitzhugh Sr. and his daughter Kathy Fitzhugh; step daughter, Eleanore Suter of Monks Corners, SC. She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers, Guy (Loraine) Jones, Hobert (Jo) Jones, John (Barbara) Jones and sisters, Octavia (Lowell) Brown, Doretta (Truman) Smith and her many friends, especially her lifelong friends, Grace and Don Roberts. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce (Terry) Brummitt of Conway, SC, and Sandra Wagner of Geneva, OH; grandson, Terry Dayton (Kimberly) Brummitt of Orwell, OH; great grandson, Joshua (Rebecca) Brummitt of Rock Creek, OH and their children, Victoria, Charlotte and Phillip Brummitt; great granddaughter, Cassandra Bolas of Orwell, OH; great granddaughter Christina (Sean) Mary of Lakewood, OH and their son, Sebastion; stepdaughters, Agnes Longstreth of Fairview, WV, Judy Chandler of Barricksville, WV, Jacqulyn Smith of Fairmont, WV and Carol Hollon of Fairmont, WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews with special mention of Brian and John Jones, her favorites.
