Roland R. Lane, age 80, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at home. He was born March 11, 1936 in Cleveland to Walter and Lucille (Mertes) Lane. He married Judy Sandifer in Euclid on July 19, 1958. Roland served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was the owner of a Convenient Food Mart in Fairport Harbor for 16 years, and he was a member of the auxiliary police force in Euclid for 25 years. Roland always enjoyed his vacations, visiting Disneyworld over 25 times. He was a provider for those he loved, and he treasured his family. He is survived by his son, Barry (Cheryl) Lane; daughter, Bridget (Lee) Noyes; grandchildren, Logan and Chelsey Noyes, Shelby Lane; great-grandson, Lane Camden Noyes; sister, Audrey Demor; and brother, Robert Lane. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Lane; his parents; sister, Lucille Collins; brothers, Chuck, Raymond, Walter, Gilbert, Donald and Jerry Lane. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Lakeview Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The Behm Family Funeral Home of Madison is handling arrangements.

  1. I'll miss my Papa. He was my greatest friend growing up. Always called me out in front of the ladies to embarrass me and helped me crank call infomercials at 3 AM. Playing 'Go Fish' every time he'd visit. I love you Papa, I'll miss you forever.

  6. Bridgett & family I know you are hurting with the loss of Rollie but I also know he loved you all dearly. It was my privilege to get to know him on his visits to Kentucky. His wit and bright smile wil be missed. You are in my prayers.
