It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Arvay, who departed this life peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on May 15, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, Robert lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Robert was the proud owner of Arvay’s County Pride, a retail grocery store that served the Napoleon, Ohio area for many years. His commitment to quality and service was a reflection of his character, as he valued the connections he made with his customers and the friendships he fostered throughout the years.

He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion, cherished by his beloved family. Robert is survived by his children, Christopher (Janice) Arvay, Laurie (Thomas Roth) Arvay; and sister, Barbara (Paul) Czerwinski. He is also remembered fondly by his daughter-in-law and wife of Robert’s late son, Jeffrey, Heidi Jaccaud; grandchildren: Chad (Danielle) Elling, Christa (Todd) Rudasill, Adelle (Andrew) Minerich, Hillary (Jared) Conley, Charles Storch, Taylor Roth, Eden Arvay, Elvis Arvay, and Audrey Arvay, as well as his 15 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Arvay, and parents, Lindy Arvay and Helen Fodor.

Graveside service for both Robert and his wife, Frances, will be held on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 am at Willow Cemetery in Oregon, Ohio, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate their lives.
Robert John Arvay will be deeply missed but forever remembered. His kindness, strength, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
