Robert H. Parrish

Robert H. Parrish, age 99, passed away November 14, 2017 at Fairmount Health Center in Willoughby. He was born in Columbia, SC on March 5, 1918, the son of Bertha (Jeffords) and Roy Emory Parrish. He lived in Elkhart, IN for 40 years and at The Villages, FL for 9 yrs. He moved to Willoughby, OH in 2009. Robert served in the 100th Army Air Force as Staff Sergeant during WWII from 1941 to 1945. He received his BA from Duke University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta and then earned his MBA in Statistics and Economics from NYU studying under Dr. Edwards Deming. Robert owned and operated a marketing and consulting firm in Elkhart, IN. He was a lifelong member of the Lions Club, a member of SCORE, and TCE (Tax Counselor for the Elderly.) Other interests included playing billiards, shuffleboard, bocce ball, bridge, golf, bowling and philosophy club. He was married to Marilyn (Schade) Parrish for 28 years. He is survived by his children, Susanne (Gregory) Hall, Kenneth Parrish, Christopher Parrish, Nancy (John) Siebert, Samuel Parrish; his former wife, Marilyn (Schade) Parrish; 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Parrish. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville (Rittman), OH.
