Reyes "Ray" V. Montero

loving wife of 42 years never left his side and he was surrounded by family and friends who loved him deeply. Ray is survived by his wife Flora, son Edwin (Jennifer) Rodriguez of Madison, and daughters Diana (Rob) Batchelor, Carmen (Eric) Graf both of N. Carolina, Melinda (Duane) Verner and Susan Blazeff both of Ohio, daughter Lisa Montero and son Jose Montero both of Florida and daughter Miriam Sheridan also of Florida. Ray leaves behind a legacy set from the principles he lived by which were hard work, kindness and generosity. He was a man who loved whole heartedly and seized every moment to cherish the small and good things in life. Ray dearly loved his children and adored his grandchildren. He often commented on how they were his whole life and how proud they made him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7th at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 1032 State Route 46 S., Jefferson, Ohio. It is open to all family and friends. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the ASPCA of Ashtabula county in Ray's memory.
