Raymond J. Welch Jr.

Madison Village- Raymond J. Welch, Jr., 33, of Madison Village., passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 6, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born on December 18, 1980 in Painesville, Ohio to Margaret (Stahl) Welch and the late Raymond J. Welch, Sr. He graduated from Madison High School Class of 1999 and married the love of his life Jennifer Johnson on September 27, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Ray was employed with Lake County as a water treatment plant operator. He had a passion for fast cars and enjoyed racing the car he built at Thompson Raceway and attending races at Painesville Speedway. Ray enjoyed coaching youth football for the Madison Browns. He enjoyed rooting for Jeff Gordon and the Cleveland Browns. Above all he loved his children and his family. Raymond leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Jennifer Welch; children, Raegan and Nicholas Welch; mother, Margaret (fiance' Jim Keller) Welch; brother, Adam (Nacole Coleman) Welch; sister Tanya (Brian) Cannady; niece and nephew, Cameron and Brianna Cannady; paternal grandmother, Eva Welch; many aunts and uncles; and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Welch, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Russell Welch; and maternal grandparents, Irene and Bernard Stahl. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with Deacon Kenneth Meade, officiating. Burial will follow at North Madison Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, on Tuesday, December 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Raymond may be given to his children or to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation at www.accrf.org/take-action/donate.
