Philip F. Searle age 82 a resident of Naples, Florida and Port Clinton, Ohio; formerly of Geneva. Passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Born July 23, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Edith & Albert Searle. Married Betty Gordon on November 4, 1994 Mr. Searle was a graduate of Geneva High School, 1949 graduate of Cornell University and received a banking degree from Rutgers. He had served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Germany where he received a battlefield commission. Mr. Searle had worked with his father at Geneva Savings. He had also worked at Northeastern Bank of Ashtabula and BancOhio in Columbus, Ohio. He was CEO of Flagship Bank in Miami, Florida and Chairman of Sun Banks. Served on the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System. He is survived by his Wife, Betty Searle of Port Clinton, Ohio; Son Charles R. Searle of Bonita Springs, FL; 3 Step Children & 6 Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Albert & Edith Searle; 1st Wife, Jean Searle and his 2nd Wife, Jean Searle. No Visitation will be observed A Graveside Service will be at 12 noon on Monday, June 18, 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio. Rev. Robert Cunningham of The United Church, Geneva will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
