Philip Clyde Miller, age 84 of Madison, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at UH Cleveland Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1941 in Hayward, WI the son of Clyde L. and Violet (Nickence) Miller. In 1966, he married Maria Katharina Uhrig in Worms, Germany.
Philip was a proud member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Tribe and cherished his Ojibwa heritage. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1966 and moved to Euclid, Ohio. He retired from Avery Dennison in 2009 and enjoyed his guitars, hunting, fishing, and time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Miller; sons, Timothy (Sherry) DeBrot and Ricky (Amy) Miller; daughters, Donna (Christopher) Bernard and Karen Miller; sister, Bernadette Miller; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter JoAnn Roman; sister, Malita Lewis; brothers, Burleigh, Wilbur, and Richard Miller.
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at Painesville Baptist Church, 1307 Riverside Dr., Painesville and burial at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
