Peter H. Roper

Peter H. Roper, age 82, of Harpersfield Township, passed away March 5, 2019 at Geneva Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1936 in Painesville to Ruby (Murray) and Frank Roper. Peter married Annette Louise (Zsorka) in Waukegan, IL on February 17, 1956.
Peter served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed a banking career for over 40 years, retiring as an Operations Manager. Peter was a member of the Geneva VFW Post 6846. He loved the outdoors and activities such as camping, as well as Yukon Jack.
Peter is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annette; daughters, Jeannette Preston, Susan Manuli; son, Christopher Roper; grandchildren, Eliot J. Rose, Mitchell Preston, Brian Preston, Erin Johnson, Ashley Roper, Ryan Mallon, Taylor Mallon, Travis Roper, Noah Roper, Lainie Roper, Grace Roper; great-grandchildren, Payton Preston, Ethan Preston, Kylie Johnson, Camden Johnson; brother, Frank Roper and sister, Nancy Pettit. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A memorial service will be held immediately following.
