Patricia Jean Varga, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her family, on March 30, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 17, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Carlton and Jean Kidd. Patricia married John C. Varga May 28, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio. Patricia lived a life full of love and dedication in her hometown of Madison, Ohio, where she touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Patricia was a proud owner and operator of Avalon Pest Control for over 40 years, a testament to her hard work and entrepreneurial spirit. She was deeply committed to her work and built lasting relationships within the community, making friends each day with her warm smile and generous heart. She was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, where she engaged in her faith and fostered connections with fellow parishioners.
Patricia is survived by her loving son Jeffrey Varga; her cherished daughters Laura (Randy) Keane and Joanne Henry; her brother Richard Kidd; and her caring sisters-in-law Shirley Kidd and Nancy Kidd. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren P.J. (Annie) Kackley, Brianna Kackley, Riley Kackley, Emalee Keane, Jeffrey (Adeline) Varga, Dakota (Rebecca) Fox, and Nickolus Henry, as well as her great-grandchildren Kasen Varga, Amelia Varga, and Cody Trenn, Jr. Patricia also leaves behind her dear niece Deb Dawg Kidd. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, John Varga; parents, Carlton and Jean; daughter, Lisa Varga; brothers, Charles Kidd, Jerry Kidd, William Kidd, Carl Kidd, Jr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Kidd; and son-in-law, Mark Henry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd. Madison Ohio 44057. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on April 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison Ohio 44057. Following the services, Patricia will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Madison Village. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reserve Care, formerly Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland, Ohio 44192.
In every role she embraced—be it as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, or friend—Patricia loved fiercely with her whole heart. Her unwavering spirit and kindness will forever remain in the memories of those who knew her.
