Orvis L. Lee

Orvis Lee, 92, of Sparta, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at his daughter?s house in Madison where he had spent the past 3 months with his son, daughter and son-in-law. He was born July 31, 1916 in Portland, Wisconsin, to Hilda (Nordbo) & Lewis Lee and married Martha Thune in 1941 in Cashton, Wisconsin. He was a Supervisor of the motor pool at Camp McCoy. Mr. Lee was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II, attaining the rank of Sergeant and was an active member of the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. After retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively in the United States, Europe and Norway. He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy (Frank) Ashton of Madison; Son, Terrence Lee of Logan, UT; Brother, Howard Lee of Viroqua, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OHIO 44057.
