Neil Eugene Gilbert

Neil Eugene Gilbert, age 75 passed away peacefully at his home on May 11, 2020. He was born May 8, 1945 in Jefferson, OH. Neil served in the United States Army in Germany as a radio operator. He married Conney Kowatch on April 25, 2002. Neil was a press operator at Chardon Rubber for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful items including jewelry boxes, bird houses, dog houses, cabinets and tables. Neil leaves behind his wife Conney of 18 years; son Tracey; his brother-in-law Tyler Kowatch and Tyler’s wife, Sue who was also his caregiver and friend; and his beloved dogs, Ralph and Lady. Services for Neil will be scheduled at a later date. Neil will be greatly missed. The Behm Family Funeral home of Madison, OH is assisting the family.
