Nancy Ruth Tarasovich, age 80, of Madison, Ohio died 3/18/2026. She was born December 19, 1945 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Albert & Alma Ruth Fluegel.

She graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1963, from Hamot Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1966, and Ursuline College, BA in Health Services Management, class of 1998.

She began her work as a registered nurse at Hamot Hospital, then married Edward Adler and moved to Ohio. In Ohio she was employed for 32 years at Lake Hospital East. Nancy held many positions over the years from Staff Nurse to Director of Same Day Surgery at Lake East Hospital. She also worked as a case worker for Kaiser Permanente.

Nancy lived in Madison, Ohio for most of her adult life.

Nancy remarried in 1980 to Richard Joseph Tarasovich, Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her spouse, Richard Joseph Tarasovich, Sr., daughter Cheryl Tarasovich, son David Tarasovich, Sr. and her brother Thomas Fluegel.

She is survived by her sons Michael E. Adler and Richard J. Tarasovich, Jr., as well as her sister Judy Omen and brother Larry Fluegel. Nancy is also survived by seven grandsons: David, Josh, Nick, Brandon, Cody, Hunter and Ryan Tarasovich. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Nancy enjoyed yard work, stitching and was active in the American Needlepoint Guild.
Funeral arrangements to be handled by Behm Family Funeral Homes of Madison. There will be no calling hours at her request and she will be buried alongside her husband in Fairview Cemetery, Madison, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
