Resident of Madison, Ohio Passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his home. Born February 21, 1929 in Painesville, Ohio to Margaret (Gamble) and Carl Korth Married June (Melcher) on April 8, 1950 Memberships and Affiliations: Mr. Korth graduated from Harvey High School in Painesville in 1947. He served in the Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star. After working fifty years in the grocery business, he retired in 1994. Russ also worked at Perry Center and drove Meals-on-Wheels for many years. He has been a longtime member of Perry United Methodist Church since 1950 and was active in Perry Seniors, planning many trips for the group. He also was on the Travel Committee for the Lake County Retired Teachers for many years and enjoyed his McDonald?s coffee club. He is survived by Wife; June Korth of Madison Daughters; Sharon Korth of Dayton, OH Connie (Ralph) Bruening of Madison Debbie (Roy) Breniser of Perry Son; Tom (Melissa) Korth of Madison 4 Grandchildren; Carrie, Laura, Julie Bruening and Joshua Korth Great-Grandson; Jayden Russell Jeschelnig Sister; Phyllis Prince of S. Madison Many Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by Parents; Sister, Betty (Gene) Koski; Brother, Don (Marie) Korth; Uncle, Albert Gamble Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Perry United Methodist Church. Memorial Contributions requested to Perry United Methodist Church, 3875 Main Street, Perry, OH 44081.
