Michael A Sposito

Michael A. Sposito, age 67 of Ashtabula, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at his home. Born December 9, 1946 he was the son of the late Samuel and Irene (Marimchak) Sposito. A 1966 graduate of Ashtabula High School Michael served in the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam and Fort Benning, GA. He worked for Kroger's in Ashtabula and retired in 2002 after 17 years. He also worked for Service Master in Ashtabula. Michael was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He had a passion for movies and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his life partner, Dale Stone of Ashtabula; daughter, Kristine (Cory) Stevenson of Shelby, NC; son, Randy (Kathy) Sposito of Mentor; 3 grandchildren, Chris, Cody, and Kourtney; brother, Jeff Sposito of Ashtabula; sister-in-law, Virginia (Tom) Surbella of Saybrook; his best friend of 40 years, Theresa "Wheezer" (Tom) MacKynen and their family of Ashtabula; and his former wife, Nikki Williamson of Geneva. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. There will be a funeral service for Michael at 2 pm at the funeral home followed by military honors. The family requests that visitors wear their favorite Christmas sweater in honor of Michael's favorite holiday. Contributions may be made to the family.
