Kathleen passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, Ohio. She was born December 28, 1910 in Cleveland to Kathryn (O'Neil) & James Davis. Kathleen was a supervisor of Cleveland Public Schools. She was also employed at Case Western Reserve College. She did a great amount of volunteering. She volunteered at Our Lady of Peace Church for fifty years and at the Cleveland Police Department for many years. She was also very generous. She helped Our Lady of Peace financially and she gave very generously to the Scholarship Fund of the Cleveland Police Department. She also supported 12701 Shaker Blvd. Apartment Complex. She was very generous to her family and friends. Kathleen was a great traveler. She went around the world three times and she kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt and friend. Survivors are sister, Ann Schafer; niece, Colleen Holland; nephews, James (Judy) Schafer, Thomas (Penny) Schafer; great-nephews, Jason (Joyce) Holland, Sean Holland, Michael (Lisa) Schafer, Scott(Kelli) Schafer; great-great-nieces, Alexis & Haley Holland, Katlyn, Jessica, Lydia, Emily & Alyssa Schafer; great-great-nephew, Jacob Schafer She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gale; parents; brothers, James & Kenneth Davis; Sister, Jessie Miller and infant sister, Geraldine Davis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Breckenridge Village, 36855 Ridge Road, Willoughby, OH 44094. Our family would like to thank Breckenridge Village/Fairmount Health Center for the wonderful care that they gave our Kathleen Davis.
