It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Joan Klueg, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on November 1, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Ahlstrom and Joan Thierl. Kathie’s warmth and kindness touched all who had the privilege to know her.

Kathie is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Klueg, and her children: Christopher (Jessica) Stapko, Jennifer Stapko, and Ryan (Katie) Klueg. Kathleen’s legacy also lives on through her adored grandchildren: William Taylor, Christopher Stapko, Jr., and Arabella Stapko. She is further survived by her loving sisters, Lori Wolanin and Jackie Ahlstrom.

Kathie loved taking care of her beautiful flower garden, cooking and baking. A nature lover she enjoyed hiking with her husband Dan and with a profound love of animals she was known to nurse several creatures back to health.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 12 Noon on Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, 5441 South Madison Rd in Madison. Family and friends will be received for two hour prior to the service at the church from 10am to 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Forward in Faith Fund at St. Anne’s or the Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd. East, Mentor, OH 44060. 1. Although we only knew Kathie for a very short while, she instantly became family to us, She carried a bright light wherever she went, and it was a pleasure to of known her. She won a photo scavenger hunt we had recently, and never received the credit. Thanks for being such a kind person Kathie. You are missed.
