Joseph A. Green, 76 of Madison, passsed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at home. Born December 29, 1931 in Corfe Castle, England to Lilly Mary (Howard) & Herbert Green he married Betty Jean Smith in Painesville, Ohio on July 12, 1958. Was formerly Purchasing Manager at Euclid Crane and then owner and operator of Green?s Cyclery, Madison. He was a Charter Member of the Madison Chorale. He enjoyed folk dancing, ballroom dancing, drama, acted in plays at Rabbit Run Theater, opera, family activities, traveling, camping, gardening and bird watching. He also played in the Lacus Venti Recorder Group and sang in church choirs. Surviving Family: Wife, Betty Jean ?BJ? Green of Madison; Son, Robin (Cheryl) Green of Shelton, Washington; Daughter, Elizabeth (Brian) Schwartz of New Canaan, Connecticut; Son, Christopher (Tina) Green of Madison, Ohio; 7 Grandchildren Laurel, Derek, Benjamin, Hanah, Abigail, Jeremy and Dylan; 2 Sisters, Phyllis "May" Farrington of Adelaid, Australia and Rosemary Everett of Wareham, England; Brother Ernest Green of Bournemouth, England. Preceded in Death by: His Parents, One Sister and 3 Brothers Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 4, 2008, at St. James Episcopal Church, 131 North State Street, Painesville. Fr. Kip Colegrove will be officiating.
