John "Jack" F. Shannon, Jr. On Saturday, October 29, 2016, Jack Shannon at the age of 77, entered into the presence of Jesus Christ, his personal Savior. He was a long-time resident of Madison, Ohio, since 1968. Jack had quietly endured being a dialysis patient for the last 9 years. He died at his home surrounded by his loving family. A private graveside service is pending. He was born July 15, 1939, in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was the eldest son of John F. Shannon and Catherine (Harmon) Shannon. He grew up and attended Parma Senior High and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an Engineering Tech at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, retiring in 1993 from the Illuminating Co. after 25 years of service. He was a past member of Bible Baptist Church in North Madison. He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Aupperle) Shannon of 55 years (whom he married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 29, 1961), sons: Greg, Scott (Dawn) of Madison, Patrick (Jennifer) of Unionville, Ohio/Texas; daughters: Kami Marko (Joey) of NJ, Kasey Kilian (Rex) of Madison, OH; nine grandchildren: Brandi (Mike) Kraynik, Ryan Shannon, Ashley Clink (Nathan), Kyle Shannon, Amber Shannon, Christian Marko, Kayley Kilian, Caden Kilian, and Chloe Kilian; five great-grandchildren: Cody White, Hannah White, Natalie Shannon, Dalton Kraynik and Callie Clink; a brother, Robert Shannon of Put-in-Bay, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. We want to give a special thanks to Hospice of Western Reserve for making his last days comfortable as well as his numerous care givers.   9. Looking for Shannon family related to John Francis Shannon, born prior to 1900 in Detroit Michigan, died possibly in Lake County, Ohio. Married Margaret Smith. three sons: Richard Shannon of Madison, Ohio, Jack and Jim Shannon (twins) of Cleveland. Richard had three children: Margaret, Mickey, and Jack Shannon. Do you know any of these folks?
