Janet F. Ellis

Janet F. Ellis, age 77, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at University Hospital Cleveland. She was born March 28, 1938 in Bayfield, Wisconsin to Helen (nee Thorsen) and Merwin Wachsmuth. Janet married Raymond Lee Ellis in Geneva on July 6, 1957. Janet was proud to follow her sons during their athletic careers and was a strong supporter of the Geneva Athletic Boosters. She was a secretary at Geneva High School for over 25 years, retiring in the early 1990's. A member of Assumption Catholic Church, she loved golfing with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by sons, Brad (Kim) Ellis of Geneva and Doug (Sandy) Ellis of Chagrin Falls; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Frank) Carraher, Stephen (Elizabeth), Michael, Charlie and Christian; sister, Peggy Pocatko of Ashtabula; brothers, Tom (Nancy) Wachsmuth of Michigan and John (Janet) Wachsmuth of Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 2009 and her parents. Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva with Rev. Robert Lanterman officiating. A Luncheon will follow at the church. Final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery.
