James E. PerDue, age 79 of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. Born May 21, 1936 in Cleveland he was the son of the late Donald and Jean (Massena) PerDue. He married Joanne Drown in Geneva on September 22, 1956. A 1954 graduate of Geneva High School, James worked for General Tire and Rubber Corporation in Ashtabula for 23 years. In 1977 he founded PerDue Realty which later become Century 21 PerDue. He also established the Soft Touch Car Wash in Ashtabula and the Geneva and Madison Car Wash. James was involved in the Geneva Rotary and the Madison Perry Chamber of Commerce where he served as a past President. He was also a member of the Lake County Board of Realtors. He is survived by his wife Joanne of 59 years; daughters: Cheryl PerDue of Geneva, Susan PerDue Schultz of Madison, and Patricia (James) Snyder of Austinburg; grandchildren: Jessica (Jason) Mullins of Madison, Kathryn (Brandon) Connelly of Japan, Michael (Kristen) Snyder of Geneva, Abigael Snyder of Quincy, IL., Zack Schultz of Madison, Lindsay and Courtney Snyder of Austinburg; great-grandchildren: Madi and Logan Mullins of Madison; son-in-law: Skip Schultz of Madison. James was preceded in death by his parents; brother Rev. Robert PerDue and sister, Sandra Gregory. James truly loved spending time with his family and devoted his life to their happiness. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 27th at the funeral home with Pastor Alexander Zell from Peoples Church in Geneva officiating. Final resting place will be at Mt.
