Igor L. Ryabtsev

Igor L. Ryabtsev, age 62, of Madison passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at University Hospital in Geneva. He was born in Baku, Azerbaijan on March 30, 1953, the son of Rimma A. (nee Abadzheva) and Leonid K. Ryabtsev.
Igor graduated from the St. Petersburgh Academy of Art & Fashion with his focus in design. He came to the U.S. with his family in 1991 as a refugee and worked hard to build his business in Mentor. Affectionately known as "The Professor," his clientele knew they could rely on him for anything. Igor took a position at Nordstrom in Beechwood in 2011 and continued to do what he loved. He enjoyed telling stories with his wonderful, comforting sense of humor and loved to help others.
Igor is survived by his wife, Yelena Ryabtseva; daughters, Katja Ryabtseva of Columbus, Tatiana Listvanovich of Belarus and brother, Oleg (Yelena) Ryabtsev of Republic of Crimea.
Friends will be received 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Rick Hughes of Central Congregational Church officiating.
