Helen E. Booth George, Age 95
Resident of Geneva, Ohio and formerly of McComb, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 Rae-Ann Geneva in Geneva, OH.
Born December 6, 1914 in Toledo, to Ethel (Drinkwater) & Frank Decker she was a homemaker.
Helen, a trained nurse of Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, spent most of her life in service to family and community. She spent many years in Girl Scout Leadership as well as on the Girl Scout Council of Hancock County. She continued in scouting as a Cub Scout den mother. Her friends, church and community were always important to her and some of those activities included Band Boosters, Fall Festival and her literary club, Progress Study Club. She was a lifelong member of McComb Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by Daughters, Thais Booth (Frank) Sikora of Bristol, VA, Diane Booth (John) Abbey of Bristol, VA, Linda George (Ned) Foley of Madison, OH; Sons, Emil E. George of Washington, DC, Steven L. George of Madison, OH, Joe G. (Regina) George of McComb, OH; 21 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren & Daughter-in-Law, Phyl George.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gordon B. Booth & Forrest ?Whitey? George; sons, Aloise Gene George and Ronald R. George; daughter-in-law, Sheila (Weakley) George; her parents and a brother.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at McComb Presbyterian Church at a later date.
