Gary L. Piker, age 79 of Madison, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at David Simpson Hospice House. He was born October 18, 1945 in Canton, to William and Marjorie Piker, and married Louise in 1968.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise; son, Scott Piker; brother, Bruce (Debbie) Piker; sister, Dianne (Rick) Pakel. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie.
Friends will be received 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Rd, Madison, OH 44057, with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM. Pastor Lenore Robinson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in Gary’s name to Chapel United Methodist Church, or Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Mr. Piker was such a nice man. Good teacher and umpire as well. Deepest condolences to Mrs. Piker and Scott.
I had the pleasure of working with Gary for the 3 years I worked at Madison High School. In fact, I chaperoned a field trip with him to Edinboro one year. A very kind and gentle man. I saw him ‘cool off’ a few coaches in his umpiring days. I am sorry for your loss. He was a man of God so we all know that he is in the arm’s of the Lord and at peace.
