Gary D. Law, Ph.D., 74, of Painesville Township, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home with his family at his side.
Gary was born on October 28, 1940 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Gladys Law. He was a well-educated man, receiving his Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma University, Master's degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, Psychology Degree from Kent State University and his Doctorate from Columbia University. Dr. Law was a Professor with Cuyahoga Community College for 32 years where he taught business classes and counseled students. He also taught at Lakeland College. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and running with his daughter Alicia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lydia Sue Law of Painesville Twp.; children, Tammy (Wayne) Meeker of Madison, Raygon (Lisa) Law of Madison, Cregg Law of Phoenix, AZ, Kennon Law of Madison and Alicia (Gabe) Westbrook of Mentor; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; cousin, Mark Nible; and a favorite Aunt, Carolyn Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held. Should friends desire in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Crossroads Hospice, 8224 Mentor Avenue, Suite 110, Mentor, Ohio, 44060.
Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison.
