Gail Louise Cook, age 84 of Geneva, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Geneva Village Retirement Center. Born November 28, 1931 in Monessen, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James Leonard and Ethel (McGilvray) Cheesebrough. She married George F. Cook on December 28, 1954 in Monessen, PA. Gail worked at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva. She was a member of Peoples Church in Geneva where she worked as a bookkeeper for 27 years. She loved spending time with her family and working at the church. She is survived by her daughters: Judy (Mike) Hall of Madison, Kathy (John) Lago of Goose Creek, SC, Vicki Howe of Portage, PA, and Jami (Eric) Olsen of Madison; grandchildren: Jim (Amy) Hall, Jodie (Scott) Koranda, Jennifer (Brad) Schuler, John (Elizabeth) Lago Jr., Dianne (Jason) Vohs, David (Brooke) Lago, Matthew, Hannah, and Jacob Howe, Jason (Tiffany) Olsen, and Melissa (Frank White) Olsen; Great-Grandchildren: Abigail, Gabe, Nicholas, Josh, Emily, Kaelynn, Kole, Kylie, Zachery, Sydnie, Adalynne, Katherine, Riley, Emily, Matthew, Hailey, Michaela, Jackson, Korvin, Khloee, and Alexis; brother: Dean (Janice) Cheesebrough of York, PA. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Art Riggle; her second husband: George Cook, her parents; brother: Ronald Cheesebrough; granddaughters: Angel Marie Hall and Savanna Grace Schuler. Friends will be received from 5 8:00pm on Monday, May 16, 2016 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Rose will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva following the service.   1. Dear Judy and Mike, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. But, May you find comfort in the thought that she is in Jesus's arms now. May He comfort you through this difficult time.

  2. Gail was my Brownie and Girl Scout leader And one of my Sunday School teachers at People's Church as well as mother of a Spencer and GHS classmate. I will miss her. I think of her often and how her Christian life effected my life.

    Your mom was one of the most compassionate, strong , caring women that i have ever met. Having her in my life growing up was such a blessing. She is loved and will be missed. Hugs and prayers to each and everyone of you!
