Fred Wisen Jr.

Fred Wisen, Jr., went home on May 9, 2015, at the age of 83. Fred's life journey started on June 1, 1931, in Slickville, Pennsylvania. He had three sisters, Betty (Harold), Florence, and Shirley. Fred was a United States Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He served active duty from 1952 until 1954, then enlisted as a Army Reservist until 1960. On April 20, 1956, Fred married Grace Geiyer. They started their family in Clarksburg, PA with Fred (Cathy), Dennis, Greg (Kelli), Rob (Missy), and Jerry (Gail). In 1967, Discharge Machine transferred Fred to Ohio. When Grace and the boys followed, they lived in a cottage at Euclid Beach Park. Fred lived in Mentor, Painesville and spent the last 11 years in Madison. In 1978, the 18 grandchildren started to arrive followed by in 2005 the 11 great-grandchildren. Fred's journey ended with his loving family by his side. Fred was preceded in death by his parents Fred Sr., and Florence (nee Kelly). A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in Madison.
