Evelyn D. Beall

Evelyn D. Beall, age 101, passed Friday September 23, 2011 at Hubbard Road Meadows Assisted Living in Madison. She was born October 3, 1909 in Concord, Ohio to Helen Ona (McKeowan) & Fred Beall. Evelyn was a graduate of Madison High School and Dyke Business College. She was a deputy clerk at the Probate Court of Lake County for 44 years retiring in 1973. She loved to travel, visiting all 50 states and many countries around the world. She rode in a hot air balloon over East Africa and slept in a grass hut in Bora Bora. She had never ridden in an airplane until 1975 when she saw an ad for a trip around the world in 28 days that included seeing the Taj Mahal and taking a camel ride around the Pyramids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church now Crossroads Community Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Sorority Guild for over 60 years. Gardening for the Roadside Market kept her busy throughout the summers. ?I?m grateful for all my relatives and friends - they meant a lot to me.? Surviving Family: 1 Niece; Marcia (Jim) Keller, Madison, Ohio, 5 Nephews; Gene (Sarah) Beall, Interlachen, Florida Tom (Linda) Beall Mentor, Ohio Jim (Ann) Beall, Indianapolis, Indiana John Beall, Mesquite, Texas and Larry Beall, of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by, her parents, Helen Ona (McKeowan) & Fred Beall, 4 Brothers Lawrence Beall, John Beall, Marshall Beall, Robert Beall, and 1 Nephew, Ronald Beall. Friends will be received from 6-8:00 pm. Monday September 26, 2011 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor Ohio. Rev. Michael Haury of Crossroads Community Church in Madison, Ohio will be officiating.
