Edith Piispanen

Edith ?Edie? (Karhu) Piispanen, Age 93 of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at Madison Health Care. Born August 5, 1915 in Fairport, Ohio to Elizabeth (Parkomaki) and John Karhu she married Hugo Piispanen on September 14, 1934. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Owned and operated Dewdrop Inn in Jefferson and North Star Market in Fairport. Loved to travel to Florida and enjoyed working on the family farm on Bates Road. She is survived by 1 Daughter, Jane (Jack) Lading of Madison; 2 Sons, Thomas (Barbara) Piispanen of Madison, Dennis (Vicki) Piispanen of Beaver, PA; Grandchildren, Suzanne Rizzo of North Perry, David Lading of Concord, Timothy Piispanen of Orlando, FL, Michael Piispanen of Massillon, Jason Piispanen of Philadelphia, PA; 6 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; Special friend, Julie Lehto of Fairport. She was preceded in death by her Husband; Parents; and brothers, Walfred and Ernest Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2008 at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio.
