Dwayne Scott Willis

dwayne willis

September 3, 1963 ~ September 27, 2025

Dwayne Scott Willis, Uncle “D” cherished soul known for his boundless passion and zest for life, passed away on the 27th of September, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on the 3rd of September, 1963, in the town of Madison, Ohio, Dwayne was the beloved son of Scottie and Billie (Moore) Willis. His early years were marked by the strong bonds he formed with his family and the community that would come to define much of his life.
A 1981 graduate of Madison High School, Dwayne was well-known in his hometown as friendly, kind and helpful. His spirit was matched only by his commitment to his loved ones and the pursuits that brought joy to his life. Dwayne’s love for the open road was undeniable, and he channeled this passion into founding and presiding over the South Madison Motorcycle Club (SMMC), where he rode alongside his brothers and forged a brotherhood that extended beyond the pavement.
Dwayne’s interests were as vast as the landscapes he traveled on his motorcycle. He was a lifetime member of Sons of the American Legion Post 112, where he found camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose. Fishing was another pastime Dwayne enjoyed. Most importantly, he valued the time spent with his family and a vast circle of friends. Dwayne’s approach to life was characterized by a carefree spirit; he lived every day to its fullest, always surrounded by those he loved.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be carried on by his daughters, Christine Willis and Megan Willis; and the love of his life, Bonnie Willis, his grandchildren, Joshua, Scottie, Chelsea, and Asher. His loving mother, Billie Willis, and his sister, Jennifer (Ed) Willis-Rodriguez, along with his nephews, Eddie and Evan Rodriguez, will hold the memory of Dwayne close to their hearts. They will forever remember the joy and light he brought into their life. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Scottie Willis, and his brother, Joseph Willis.
A Graveside Service honoring Dwayne’s remarkable life is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Fairview Memorial Park on River Street in Madison Village. In a fitting tribute to a man who lived for the journey, the service will be followed by a commemorative motorcycle ride to the Grand River Manor, where a Celebration of Dwayne’s Life will be held. The Behm Family Funeral Home is providing guidance and support to the Willis family during this time of remembrance. “Gone but not forgotten”
Dwayne’s obituary and a space for sharing memories can be found at www.behmfuneral.com. His life was a testament to the power of living passionately, and though he will be deeply missed, the stories of his adventures and the love he shared will continue to inspire all who knew him.
