Doris Griggs

Doris Griggs, age 89, of Madison passed away December 15, 2014 at home. She was born February 17, 1925 in New Bern, NC. She married Robert Griggs in 1946. Doris was a very social person who loved and enjoyed everybody. She was a member of American Legion Post 112 while living in Madison. Doris was known for her homemade German Chocolate Cake. She is survived by daughters, Kathryn (Kenneth) Cole, Denise Griggs; son, Jay Griggs; grandchildren, Max (Shannon) Billings, Patricia (Jordan Hasselstrom) Gramoy, Amelia Gramoy, Rachel Griggs; great-grandchildren, Josh Billings, Troy Schofield and Robert Urch. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert; parents; sisters, Mary, Virginia and brother, Ed. A private family burial will be observed. Final resting place is Fairview Cemetery in Madison. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH.
