Donald W. McCracken

Donald W. McCracken, age 54, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at David Simpson Hospice House, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born September 16, 1968 to Ruth E. (Fronk) and Paul R. McCracken. He married Connie Bilicic on August 8, 1992 in Saybrook.
A 1991 Graduate of Youngstown State University, Don worked as a CPA in the real estate field and was a partner at The Symphony Group. He loved all things Cleveland sports, but was also a Dallas Cowboys fan as well as following collegiate sports. He was a virtual encyclopedia for sports. He also enjoyed being outdoors hiking, dirt biking, four wheeling, and spending time with family. Don was an incredibly savvy business man and leader in his field, but he could play as hard as he worked….
Don is the beloved husband of 30 years to his loving high school sweetheart Connie, having been together 8 years before marriage; loving father to Matthew (Kaitlyn) and Morgan McCracken; brother to Elizabeth (Anthony) Barsi, David (Jeanette) McCracken, Robert McCracken, Bonnie Newsome, Jennifer (Doug) McCracken, Scott McCracken; and uncle to many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and loved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Susan McCracken, Jimmy McCracken, Cindy Pildner, Barb McCracken, and Delores Booth.
Friends will be received 5-8 pm Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Final Resting Place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.

I have had the privilege of working with Don many times over the years and always found him to be such a kind and positive person who genuinely cared about others.
