July 20, 1948 ~ December 21, 2025

Born in: Brantford, Ontario
Resided in: Perry, OH

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Alexander Piros on Sunday December 21st. He passed away peacefully at Ahuja Medical Center where he was surrounded by loved ones. Aged 77, Dale was a cherished son, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Dale Piros was born on July 20, 1948 in Brantford, Ontario and was the son of Alex and Emma (Szarka) Piros. His mom and dad would eventually move to Bedford, Ohio when he was still a young boy.

Dale met the love of his life, and wife of 52 years Denise (Dill) Piros in 1973 and the two married soon after in Garfield Heights on October 22nd. The couple would eventually move to Madison, Ohio where they raised their family before moving to Perry.

Dale went to the Devry Institute of Technology where he obtained a degree in electrical engineering. He spent most of his career working for Mannessman Demag, spending most of his time travelling coast to coast overseeing projects for them.

Dale had a lifelong love of the great outdoors. It began on his family’s farm in Ontario where he would spend time with his cousins who he adored so much. In the states, during his free time, you could catch him hunting and fishing with his family and friends in local creeks and rivers and on his boat on Lake Erie. When he wasn’t on the road, he adored spending time at the family’s home in South Madison, where he took great pride in tending to his land and watching it grow. The trees he planted there and the ponds he filled will serve as a living legacy to Dale always.

Dale was also a big fan of The Beatles, The Cleveland Browns, and the 1965-67 GTO. He also never met a dog that he didn’t love, adopting a couple of them that needed love later in their lives. He loved to crack jokes, and even in his final days he continued to make his family and hospital staff smile.

Dale will always be remembered as a generous man who would do anything for the people he loved, and gave selflessly- never asking for anything in return. A man of quiet strength with a heart of gold, he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Denise; daughters, Ginette (Dan) Piros and Dawn Piros (his “Little Monster”); grandchildren, Ashlee (Joe) Slike, and Julia Zalecki; great grandchildren, Olivia and Ozzie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Piros.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at a later date. The Behm Family Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time. Online obituary and guestbook at www.behmfuneral.com
