  1. To the Claypool Family, my prayers to you all. I met Carolyn many years ago while working at the Ashtabula Mall. At that time she was investigating some thefts and bad check cases. She was always fun to work with and I learned a lot from her. What I learned helped me in later years when I joined the Andover Police Department. I had occasions to work with her on a few case there as well. She always had a smile and was always willing to take a moment to talk or answer a question. My wife and I loved sitting with her at the FOP Spouses Night and talking with her. Lovely lady that will be greatly missed! Ray and Nora Kulisz

  2. I will miss Carolyn sharing music with me. I have been singing some of her favorite songs since I learned of her passing. “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” is now on my music stand. My guitar is ready, Carolyn. Don, you and all the extended family that you two shared, are in my tears and prayers. My love is always with you.

  3. I meet Carolyn in 1979 when I started at the Sheriff's Dept. No more decent person have I ever met. We spent even more time together every morning when she was the Sheriff's Dept detective assigned to Children Services. She was a beacon of decency, though her subtle humor was greatly appreciated. I know she loved her family and her membership in Eastern Star. She will be remembered with smile and a wish for more people like her. Debbie Jordan

  4. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I met Carolyn at the very beginning of my career at GPD. She was a smart, kind woman. I looked up to her for doing what she was doing. She also cleared a path for other women who wanted to work in Law Enforcement. Sending Hugs to you all.

  5. I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I truly enjoyed her kindness to everyone at the Sheriff's Department when I worked there with her.
