April 30, 2025 Billy A. Lawson was called home by his loving wife, Susan. Billy led a full life. He hunted, fished, collected cars and liked to have fun with his friends. Billy and Sue had many years together in Madison where they made their home in 1985. Billy was retired from O.D.O.T. where he was a foreman for many years. He was born August 13, 1952 in Red Ash, VA, the son of Troy Lawson and Juanita Lawson. Billy was from a large family, he had 10 brothers and sisters, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Tanya (Chris Gaster) Lawson; grandson, Gage (Courtney Webb) Gaster; sister, Suzy (Tim) Shepard; brother, Lawrence (Sherri) Lawson; niece, Tammy Molnar, and her husband, Nick, who were also Billy’s caregivers.” and so many in-laws and friends.

I remember coming up with mom and dad last year in January to see you and going to eat lunch/breakfast with you in Ohio I wish I would have gotten to see and know u better I only met you twice when I was my baby’s age and when I was 15-16 and I remember mom telling u I was pregnant but u never got to know I had her and now I look at her everyday and I’ve always heard that when a baby smile in there sleep it means a passed loved one is playinf with them in heaven and it’s all I think of when I see my baby smile u left me with her and now I know ur watching over us bc I had her 2 days before everything happened and she fought hard in the nicu and I know u watched over her while she was there u granny and aunt sue All I hear in the bwck of my head ever since mom told me u had passed is “I love you sweetheart” bc it’s ur last words to me and I’ll forever cherish what memories I do have with you and I’ll make sure baby girl knows about you💙keep watching over us uncle Billy
