Betty J. Prehn, 80, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, in Kingsport, Tenn.
Born Nov. 16, 1930, in Wendel, W.Va., she was the daughter of Joseph E. and Eva (Findley) Barney.
Betty was a proud member of Geneva F.O.E. as well as American Legion Post 112. Betty enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and enjoyed time spend with friends and loved ones.
She is survived by daughter, Charlotte (Elmer) Gibson of Kingsport, Tenn.; son, Brad (Shelia) Constable of Loganville, Ga.; son, Danny (Pat) Constable of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter, Cindy (Michael) Torok of Madison; stepson, Clifford (Paula) Prehn of Geneva; stepdaughter, Karen (Mary Lorenz) Ford of Seattle, Wash.; stepson, Dale (Rebecca) Prehn of Las Vegas; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Constable, who passed away in 1985; and second husband, Roland ""Bud"" Prehn, who passed away in 2011; her parents; her brothers, Bud, Lealand and Babe; and sisters, Sis, Mildred and Eleanor.
Betty's family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the funeral home. Pastor Don McCauley of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Mentor will officiate the service. Final resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
