Ann Marie Staric, age 70, of Madison, passed away on February 19, 2026, at her home with her devoted husband by her side. Ann was born in Eastlake, Ohio on July 8, 1955, the daughter of Raymond and Sophie Giffin. Ann resided in Geneva, Ohio throughout her youth before moving to Madison, Ohio with her husband, to raise their daughter.
Ann was a 1974 graduate of Geneva High School. She was employed by Manor Home in Geneva before being employed at Eye Lightning International in Mentor, until she retired in 2018. Ann was devoted to her career, as well as enjoying embroidery, crafting, cleaning, and spending all her free time with her family and friends.
Ann was known for her thoughtfulness and generosity, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. The love she had for her family was nothing but extraordinary and unconditional. Her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren were always her top priority, she never put anything before them. Her proudest titles were “Mom” and “Gaga”, as her life was defined not by what she had, but who she loved. Ann is known amongst friends for her continuous pride and love for her entire family. She leaves behind a family who knew they were deeply loved every single day.
Ann is survived by the love of her life, her husband Frank, of 50 years, her loving daughter Lori (Kevin) Pekar, and her grandchildren, Madeline, Joshua, and Jacob. She is also survived by her siblings, Bruce, Pat, Mark, Pam, Paula, Paul, Kevin, Chrissy, Michelle, and Joey, as well as many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her son, Marc Anthony, her parents, Raymond and Sophie Giffin, and brothers, Greg and Keith Giffin.
Her family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their amazing care, love, and support they not only gave to Ann during her final months, but also to her family. Julie, Amanda, Rachel, and Jen, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We would not have been able to give Ann the proper care and support without your guidance.
A Catholic Mass will be held Saturday, March 28, at 11am at St. Cyprian Church in Perry, Ohio. Family will be receiving friends beginning at 10am, until the start of service. A private family burial at All Souls Cemetery will conclude at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Ann’s honor can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Lewy Body Dementia Association, or Hospice of the Western Reserve to help fund ongoing research, find cures, and support other families in need of Hospice care.
