Allen R. Walker, age 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, May 17, 2018, in Geneva, Ohio. He was born September 20, 1931 in Horton, KS to Anna Mae Heston (Penley) and Earnest Bishop Walker. He married Cora Jane Kilanowski in Perry, Ohio in 1972.
Allen was a 1951 graduate of Ashtabula High School. He worked at Ashtabula Gas and Oil and the First United Methodist Church. Allen retired from Reliance Electric as a Press Operator after 44 years of dedicated service. After retirement from Reliance, Allen worked as a grocery attendant at Giant Eagle in Geneva.
He was a member of Geneva United Methodist Church where he was Head Usher and facilitator of collections for Heifer Foundation. Allen was also a proud Mason and a member of Geneva Masonic Lodge #334; Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland Masonic. Allen loved to fly his Cesna 172 Skyhawk out of the old Lenox and Jefferson Airports. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his nieces, Cheryl (Larry) Elliott, Susan Huntington; nephews, Chet Inman, Christopher Grenter; cousins, Norma Jean Clark, Marilyn Clark, Melvin L. Walker; and very dear friend, Ida Hawes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Cora Jane; parents; brother, Marvin Bishop; nephew, James Grenter; and cousins, Duane and Vernon Clark.
Friends will be received 5pm-8pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway St., Geneva, OH 44041, during which a Masonic service will be observed. Allens Funeral Service will be 11am Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Bruce Hitchcock officiating. Final resting place will be Mesopotamia Cemetery.

Mr. Walker was a truly fine gentleman. Always had a smile and a good word. This is a man who will be missed by all who knew him. He is at home with his Savior.
We are very pleased that we got to know Alan. He was a very caring and a wonderful person. He will be missed by everone that knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
I had the privilege of living next door to Cora and Allen, they were the best neighbors anyone could have. May they rest in peace.
