Alice Marie Horwatt (Frampton), age 86, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Hospice House on April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 16, 1939, in Keisterville, Pennsylvania, Alice made Painesville her home for the past 32 years, prior to that Alice resided in Thompson, Ohio.
Alice was married to her beloved husband, William M. Horwatt Sr., on July 27, 1957, before his passing 35 years ago. Together, they built a family that was the center of Alice’s world. She is survived by her children: Donna Rice (Gary deceased), William M. Horwatt Jr. (Maggie), Alice Wilson (Mitch), and Cindi Clair (David). Her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, include: Holly White (John), Jeffrey Piatek (Darcie), William M. Horwatt III, Meggen Horwatt, Breanna Loparo (Richard), MJ Wilson, Taylor Horwatt and Cole Clair. Alice was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Harper Piatek, Mason Loparo, and another baby Loparo on the way.
A woman of deep faith and community spirit, Alice volunteered at St. Patrick’s Church in Thompson, Ohio, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed dancing at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, watching Cleveland baseball, and spending time crocheting. Her resilience and unwavering love for her family were evident in all she did.
A Crypt service will take place at 1 pm on May 2, 2025 at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon to honor Alice’s life and legacy. Her life was a blessing, and her memory a lasting treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, reflecting Alice’s commitment to giving back to the community she cherished.

    you were our neighbors and we were attending our daughters sporting
    events. She was such a nice lady.
