Roland Russell Gau

Roland Russell Gau, age 88 of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at David Simpson Hospice House. He was born November 21, 1937 in Painesville.

Roland proudly served in the US Navy. He was the owner of 3 gas stations in Mentor, Eastlake and Trumbull where he also owned a junkyard. Roland loved riding his motorcycles and he was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2243 in Geneva.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Jean Winchester; sons, Raymond R, Richard R, Roger R, and Ronald (Tracy) Gau; daughter, Maria Pillar; many grandchildren; brother Robert “Bobby” Gau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Roland Russell Jr and Randy Reed Gau, Russell Ryan Gau; sister, Patricia and brother, William Gau.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway in Geneva. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Monday, December 22nd at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
