Mike had a passion to help people—if something was broken, he was the first to run toward it, eager to fix it in any way he could, always there when most would walk away. His hard work was a source of pride, and he gave his all in everything he did.
The track was his “happy place”. He spoke of it often, and nothing brought him more joy than racing with family. It was what he wanted to do 24/7. He dreamed of Lando joining him one day and even hoped to build something for him in the future—always with that familiar laugh and grin.
He loved you, Lando, and wanted nothing more than to see you succeed in whatever passion you chose. His pride in hard work carried through to how he lived, and he often spoke about the satisfaction he found in a good day’s labor, whether it was at the track or digging holes on the job.
He had a special love for all his nieces and nephews. He was always playing, joking, and teasing them, and he never missed a chance to cheer them on in whatever they were doing. His support for them—and for all kids—was unwavering, and his playful spirit made him a favorite among them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

❤️And to all who Loved~Knew Mike❤️
I am so very sorry for your loss. My grandson, Donovan worked with Mike and said he was just a good man and friend. He said he learned a lot from Mike. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
God Bless.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all! My twin sister and I was in 4h with Mike and Josh! I’m very sorry for your loss!
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mike was truly one of the kindest souls I have ever had the privilege of knowing. His smile and laugh had the incredible ability to light up even the darkest room. I don’t think Mike ever met a stranger—he made everyone feel welcome. I’ll always cherish the memories of tagging along with Jason and Chris growing up, and how Mike always took the time to make me feel like part of the crew.
Mike was truly one of the good guys, and the world is a little less bright without him in it. My heart goes out to the Mullins and Ruff families during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Valerie, my Buckeye friend, there are no words that can truly ease the pain of such a tragedy, but I want you to know that my heart is with you. I hope you can find moments of comfort in the memories you shared and in the love that surrounds you now. Please know I’m here for you—in whatever way you need. Whether it’s a quiet moment, a listening ear, or help with the day-to-day, I’m just a call away.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Tammy
