Janet Sue Hennessey, age 75 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born September 30, 1949 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of Glen and Ramona (Kittle) Shaffer. She married John Barry Hennessey in Niagara Falls during the Spring of 1968.
Janet worked at Ricerca over 40yrs where she was a executive secretary. Janet enjoyed her family more then a anything, but also her daily shopping trips. She loved sitting outside and driving down by the lake to enjoy her Whopper Jr’s.
She is survived by her siblings, Beverly Claypool, and Sheila (Bob) Getch; her sons, Rodney (Sara) Hennessey, Mike (Jamie) Hennessey; grandchildren, Casey (Joe) Colby, Jaimie, Rodney Jr., Brittany, Michael Jr.(Mackenzie), Nathan, Hannah, Jacob; great grandchildren, Zackary, Kayla, Connor, Kaiden, Paisley, & Meadow.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Hennessey; her parents and brother Randy Shaffer.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 28, from 2-4PM at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057.

To family and friends: Janet was my first cousin as younger children she often visited Baltimore with her brother and sisters we always had a great time. I have many memories of our times together at Shaffer reunions also. My sympathies go to her immediate family and loved ones.
