Beautiful, much loved Nancy Jane Adams, age 89, of Geneva, passed away into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born February 25, 1936 in Delanson, New York, the daughter of Genevieve (Doutt) Snyder and Edward Snyder.
Nancy worked for the city of Geneva (1978-1999), the last several years as The Finance Director. She was a member of Peoples Church in Geneva. She enjoyed her sewing/ quilting group, women’s and senior Bible studies, The Chosen small group, missions and local outreaches. Nancy loved worshipping there. She liked her book study and going places with friends. She was “quite the athlete” in her day. She enjoyed skiing, playing tennis, wind surfing and scuba diving in the Caribbean. Nancy deeply touched all that knew her. Most of all she loved the Lord and telling about him.
She is survived by her children, Tina (Mike) Gentilini, Terry (Rebekah) Bowdler, and Larry (Joyce) Bowdler; grandchildren; Kristin (Fred), Jeffrey, Luke, Stephen, Micah, Terry (Janice), Kristie, Stephen, Jake (Lauren), Rachel (Tim) Brent, Breana, Brandon, and Emily; great grandchildren, Garrett, Parker; Josephina and Samuel ( their mother is Yana); Charlie, Hannah, Kira, Joshua, Eden, Bodie, Duke, Jack, Sebastian, and Nancy’s siblings, Janet English, and David Snyder. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Adams; sister, Norma McIndoe; and brother, James Snyder. She is also preceded in death by many other treasured loved ones.
Friends and family are welcome to come for a viewing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 10AM-11AM at Peoples Church, 300 South Ridge Rd. E, Geneva, OH 44041. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11AM. Final Resting Place will be at Evergreen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at the church from 12-2:00 PM and all are welcome to come. Contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to Peoples Church, 300 South Ridge Road (Rt. 84) Geneva, OH 44041 or the Mya Women’s Center, 517 West Prospect, Suite C, Ashtabula, OH 44004.

I’m so sorry for your loss of your mother, she was an amazing person. She had a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. I pray that the Lord will hold you close during your time of sorrow and pain and that he will bring you peace and comfort in the days to come.
I knew Nancy for many years from being neighbors to friends, she made such a difference in my life and I will miss her forever.
