Debbie Warner

With profound love and heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved Debbie—a radiant soul who filled our lives with warmth, laughter, and boundless love.

Born on December 21, 1954, in Painesville, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of Gerald Balzer and Laura (Ferrell-Walker) Balzer. Surrounded by her loving family, Debbie peacefully departed from this world on June 6, 2025.

Affectionately known as Deb, Doc, Mom, Gramma, GG, Aunt, and Sister, Debbie was the heart of our family, a radiant source of joy and laughter. Her innate ability to make others feel loved and cherished will forever remain in our hearts. With an infectious sense of humor, she had a unique way of brightening even the gloomiest of days. As a devoted mother, she raised four children with unwavering love and support. She managed her career at Rosemary’s for over a decade.

In addition to her career, Debbie was well-known for her lively spirit on the dance floor, winning numerous trophies in jitterbug contests. She always knew how to celebrate life to the fullest! Her most recent job, though a love/hate relationship, at dialysis three times a week became a platform for her compassionate spirit to shine. There, she created a monthly luncheon and established a loving support group, touching the lives of many and forging lasting friendships.

Debbie leaves behind her loving son, Kenneth (Clarrenda) New; her treasured daughter, Terese (William Simmons) New; her stepdaughter, Angela and Jim Tackett; and her beloved siblings, Katie, Jimmy, Cindy, Chucky, and Ruthan, as well as her 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In her eternal rest, Debbie joins her parents, Mommie and Daddy. her stepson Jason Warner, her kidney sister Neevah, her lifelong companion Dale Anderson, and her cherished grandson Dylan Talso—who now welcome her with open arms.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debbie’s life on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Behm Funeral Homes, 26 River St. in Madison, Ohio, from 4 PM to 7 PM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM on June 13 at the same location.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find solace in the myriad of memories she leaves behind—memories filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering spirit. For those wishing to pay their respects or leave a message, an online obituary and guest book are available at www.behmfuneral.com.

Rest in peace, Dear Debbie. As your dearly loved best friend Peggy Stahl would say TGTB4gotten.

But we sure are going to miss her here on earth!!! We want to send BIG hugs to all her family and friends!! We wish we could be there for her last good-byes 😢…but our thoughts, prayers and love ❤️ will be with you all!!!

  3. Debbie its gonna be so strange without you here. I told you we were not ready for you to leave. Who will I call now? Who will listen as you have for so many years. I will miss your laugh, your sense of humor, and your true unconditional love. Your heart was so open and accepting of others. My boys loved their Aunt Debbie dearly. You were so good with them when they were little (my trustworthy and loving babysitter) and so good to them throughout their lives. They are going to miss you dearly. The place you filled in my heart will always remain yours. You are my big sister and my best friend. We shared so many, many good times. We held each others secrets and were there for one another no matter what. You forgave me when I slipped and for that I will always be grateful. Its going to be a struggle for me to not have you here in this life. You are truly going to be missed but never ever forgotten. Your baby sister Ruthie
